Organic and/or Raw Pet Food Is THE BEST!
Check your labels! Many pet food brands use reconstituted animal by-products, otherwise known as low-grade wastes from the beef and poultry industries. In fact, the animals used to make many pet foods are classified as “4-D,” which is really a polite way of saying “Dead, Dying, Diseased, or Down (Disabled)” when they line up at the slaughterhouse. Natural and organic pet foods use meats that are raised in sustainable, humane ways without added drugs or hormones, it’s minimally processed, and preserved with natural substances, such as vitamins C and E. Certified-organic pet foods must meet strict USDA standards that spell out how ingredients are produced and processed, which means no pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, artificial preservatives, artificial ingredients or genetically engineered ingredients. But again check the labels!

No Shortcuts
Woofgang’s doesn’t take the shortcuts that other direct sales pet product companies are taking. For instance, we proudly manufacture and package our own all natural dog shampoo in small batches right here in the United States using only the best all natural, chemical free ingredients. Other companies are known to buy 55 gallon drums of pet shampoo and/or have the manufacturer private label each bottle for them. NOTE: Calling a product your own, doesn’t necessarily make it your own. To be sure about what tyou’re getting, where it’s coming from and what’s actually in it- look for a company who controls their own products and what goes into them. Like Woofgang’s! Protect your pets and purchase the very best for them.

We’re not giving away any details on our upcoming catalog and changes but we love, love, love to see our competition slowly but surely trying to adapt our clean look and all natural product line. Competition Is Funny
A company that considers itself our “competitor” who and watches us very closely has just come out with their new 2009 catalog. Surprise, surprise, their catalog is starting to adapt a Woofgang’s look- using our fonts, photo types, etc.. but.. we’re still not impressed. Even with all of their ‘eco’ friendly images throughout their pages, their treats, toys and grooming products still contain harsh chemicals, preservatives and fragrances that Woofgang’s does not condone.
Pet lovers, do your product research before joining any pet products company. Fancy logos, packaging or descriptions can just be the crafty (ok sneaky) work of any effective marketing department. Ask questions and represent products that are truly intended for the good health and happiness of our pets!
