Oh Rachel Ray…

I’m a fan of hers… not everyone is though, right? But you have to appreciate that she is a true pet lover, even segmenting part of her show to cater to the dogs. I read that she has her own line of all natural dog food out now but haven’t had a chance to review it for myself yet.

Here’s the thing.. when I checked out some of her best recipes for treats, they came up a little short (sorry, Rachel). Whole wheat flour should not be used in dog treats as wheat is one of the most common allergens for dogs and provides no nutrition. I was just surprised to see that as a main ingredient in her Peanut- Carob Isabooscotti. We’d be happy here at Woofgang’s to whip up a wheat-free version!
